10 objects that are special to me from my past
Ski goggles
Thermometer designed around the Fibonacci sequence
I made and designed this in my A level As project it was based
upon the Fibonacci sequence. I knew I wanted something bright and eye catching,
I used the laser to cut out the circles as seen in the picture. Its special to
me as it’s the first project I made using acrylic during my A levels.
The design was meant to be appealing to the Smartemp company, i choose this idea because it was unusual , new and up to date. All sections are made from acrylic which is 3mm thick this will look modern and aesthetically pleasing. I used the Fibonacci sequence to inspire the temperature project. |

Horse-riding Helmet
I wanted to draw my riding hat because it’s been
In my past as a kid, I used to ride ever weekend at my local stables I became
very fond and entered competitions for the fun of it. This is a black hat I
still have and will keep and pass on. I first
started when I was 6 and carried it upon into my teens. Horse-riding is a kid’s
dream as every little child dreams of owing a horse someday.
18 Birthday Card
I recently celebrated my birthday this is the
time everyone turns an adult its now legal to do anything. For teenagers especially
it’s a right of way. This is a card I was
given and it stood out to me because of its colour scheme and bold numbers.
It was the last day of term and the last day of being at my old Secondary school which i had studied there since year 8 so obviously it was a sad day for most, but it was happy too as people move on to do experience different things. The day involved dressing up as cops and robbers i decided to go as a cop and these hand cuffs were part of the costume. The whole year turned out in full fancy dress we went to the school gates but were then told we cant come in unless we take it off. .. no way. so we took the party to the local park. For me these represent that last day all those memories and years i have shared with these people since i was a little year 8 kid. I will always remember what a great send off we had. It was a fab ending to the best 7 years of my life so far.
Oak box
Alcatraz ticket
In the summer of 2012 i visited San Francisco, which is famous for its architecture and Alcatraz an island where inmates were held for various crimes to society. I think for this picture the lettering says it all. What makes Alcatraz so punishable is the inmates can see the city just over the bay, this makes it tempting to try and escape. Only 3 men are thought to have escaped the compound but they're bodies have never been discovered. The bay had giant rip tides so its hard to swim. It was a memorable holiday and the ticket i collected reminds me of this.
Tap Shoe -
I was always a keen dancer and experimented with types of dance as a kid, i found tap was good way of letting go. I still have a pair of tap shoes and they still fit if i ever wanted to go back to to lessons. The shoe is also a reminder of the fun i had, as dance is a very social sport /activity.
Prefect Badge
The sixth form at my school offered the students to take up a role of being a prefect, this mainly looks good on personal statements etc. The badge gives one authority i suppose, any prefect with a badge had different responsibilities like guarding doors at lunch, running clubs for younger students. But this badge to me is just a nice small gift that I'll remember school by.
Burying the 10 items
After collecting the 10 objects and drawing them i have finally finished and got them all together, they include: a riding hat, dance shoe, Wimbledon key ring, thermometer holder, birthday card, oak box, ski goggles, handcuffs Alcatraz ticket, prefect badge.
I buried them on Thursday the 5th 2013 at 5.00 in the back garden. I buried them in the back garden as if we did move it would be ok to come back and get them.
