This is in a random order, but this shows an ear i drew, an ear is really hard human feature to draw, but because everyone is individual everyone's ears are slightly different therefore there is no wrong answer. Anissa's ear actually had a lot of inner circles leading to the inner ear. This was a really fun activity as it was challenging but was exhilarating when you showed your partner the finished outcome.
This second picture was hilarious to draw as it had to be done with a pen in our mouths. I actually couldn't stop laughing which made it impossible to concentrate, everyone looked very silly. By doing this activity it actually made me think of Alison Lapper who has to use her mouth to do her art. A sculpture was put on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar square. Anyway as the picture shows drawing with a pen in your mouth is trickier than i thought and takes a steady head.
This to me looks seriously out of proportion buts that's because it was done with my eyes closed. The best bit was opening your eyes to discover whats gone on. Drawing with your eyes closed is all about letting your pen feel the paper and to just draw and to not worry about the outcome.
Every time i see this it makes me laugh, to be honest it barely looks human. I just remember how disorientating it was drawing this without the use of sight. I had no clue where my pen was on the paper.
This on the right was a really quick pen sketch of Alice, time pressure was the problem when doing this.
And on the left shows a sketch again i had to do. For this one we weren't allowed to take the pen off the paper. Its called continuous line drawings. A continuous line drawing is a really good technique to use as you can easily tell whether someone has done the activity correct or not. It should have all of your construction lines show all the lines between the facial features
Collage
The aim of these collages was to take any persons face and to muddle the facial features. Below is what iv come up with.
Obviously this face joins together, blog spot wont let me move the pics ? anyway this is my attempt. This took me a bit of time to do them both.
The next stage was taking this and focusing on a specific area of that collage, to do this i had to use a square cut out 3cm by 3cm, and then zoom the picture up to a scale of 20mm x20mm this creates a large picture. This is the first stage of my drawing, i used pastels, black and dark blue, and a sparky makeup that i applied onto sticky glue that's the light blue stuff. Then i applied a sparkly dark blue finger nail polish. This is the only the first picture i have uploaded SO FAR.
