Blade Runner a Dystopian Thriller

Blade Runner

the eye is a constant figure in the movie.
Blade Runner a futuristic Dystopian thriller direcetd by Ridley Scott, it stars Harrison Ford, who is widely known and loved for his si fi films. It’s set in Los-Angeles in 2019 in which genetically engineered organic robots called (replicants) visually indistinguishable from adult humans—are produced on a large scale (mass) by the powerful Tyrell Corporation as well as by other "mega-corporations" around the world. What i found interesting was they used locations i had actually visited for instance the Bradbury building in Los Angles.

Harrison ford as Rick Deckard, Falling picture.
This is probably the most recognized still of the movie as it depicts Harrison Fords character hanging onto the edge of a building. Deckard attemps to jump to another roof top to escape but ends up hanging for dear life.  Roy saves him just as he is about to fall.
Ridley scotts vision of what the future might look like couldnbt be much more different to the Los Angeles we know today, with his sky scrapers and pollution. It almost looks like a darker new York at points or even DC comics Gotham city.

The owl doesn't have the biggest screen time but it makes a big impact, however it does make the audience feel uneasy. It touches upon the subject of animal cloning, like dolly the sheep was cloned genetically. The eye takes on many different forms during the movie. The film opens with a close up of Deckers eye and there are more shots to come. Eyes are an essential factor for this movie as they are the only way  to tell the difference between reliant artificial humans and real humans.
This owl is actually a replicant owl when Decker meets it.

this is a link to the opening scene of the film.

This picture shows a "spinner" a term used to describe this flying car. What makes this spinner so cool is that it can also be driven as a ground based vehicle meaning its flexible.  Just like many futuristic films like the Handmaids Tale, the Hunger Games and 1984. Police use these vehicles to suppress the population.

This below is a moving graphic of what this futuristic city looks like with the police patrolling the area.

1984 is a very similar film in which the state controls the human population. its set in Oceania and Winston Smith is indoctrinated into the society cruel ways.  This is similar to Blade runner as people are scared to be different, they follow the norms.

These two to the right are of Blade Runner himself
played by Harrison Ford.
